Is it possible to customize a report contained in a report dictionary for a GP add-on that is not installed? One of our new clients has an add-on and would like us to customize one of their reports. We don't own the add-on, and they don't own report writer.

Can I copy the add-on's DIC file over to our environment to make the requested adjustments?

No you would need to have that module installed because when you are accessing Report Writer the list will depend on what you have installed.

What version of GP are they on that they don't have a licence for Report Writer?

I thought it was a standard include with System Manager.

Hi,

Report Writer is included on GP installation. Maybe the user ID used does not have access to it. Try logging in as SA.

Jonathan is right, you will need to have the add-on to be able to modify the report because that report is located on a different .dic file.
