Change Navigation Bar Colour

Posted on by 70

We have a CRM 2015 on-premise deployment meaning I don't have access to the Themes functionality to amend the navigation bar colour within different CRM organisations. We have seperate application servers for Dev and UAT and each server contains multiple CRM organisations. I have followed the instructions from the below blog on how to amend the header colour but the changes are only being reflected in the default organisation on each server and not in the other organisations. Does anyone know how I can ensure the colour change is replicated across all organisations?

Hi Vikas. Themes is only available in version 7.1 onwards for 2015 which has not been released for on premise, so changing this using the unsupported method is the only one available to me. I think this may well be due to a caching issue anyway as other users seem to be seeing the amended colour in all organisations now. Thanks anyway.

    Hi

Do not use unsupported method for Theme changes. Use only Theme.

So, just Export the records from Theme entity and import it to the target, then publish it.

Please refer the Solution Awareness section in the following link:

This is not a supported way. Also, whenever there is an update applied to CRM these changes might be gone. If you can update the files, why you don't have access to themes? Also, if the functionality is provided by MS why are you trying to use an unsupported method?
