Set up sales tax reporting codes

ReportReport

I am trying to configure sales tax reporting codes for the Deutch sales tax report format. As per the Lean https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/general-ledger/tasks/set-up-sales-tax-reporting-codes, One is supposed to enter a number in Reporting code which ls pre defined in the report.

I am not able to find from where I will get the list of report codes used in that SSRS report.

You can use an ER report in Excel as a replacement for the SSRS report. However, if you prefer to continue using the SSRS report, you need to use the Dutch report layout for the tax authority. This requires defining tax reporting codes and attaching them to the relevant tax codes.

For more information, please refer to: VAT declaration (Netherlands) - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

I recommend using the ER report as it is much easier to map and replicate across companies.

Thanks to all for the guidance.
I have to use the Dutch sales tax report format for reporting some of the sales tax codes. All others are mapped to Default and configured with Electronic report.

As per documentation Sales tax reporting codes are to be configured for the Dutch sales tax report format which is a SSRS report and have field numbers (like some hard coded numeric values).

    Hi,
If you use VAT Declaration Excel (DE) or VAT Declaration Excel (NL) for this purpose, there is no need to define reporting codes on tax codes. Instead, you must create a mapping table in Electronic Reporting > VAT Declaration Excel (DE) > Application-Specific Parameters and map the company tax codes to the standard tax codes.

Additionally, ensure that the sales tax authority has "Default" set as the report layout. You also need to add the Excel variant of the configuration (VAT Declaration Excel (DE) or VAT Declaration Excel (NL)) under General ledger parameters > Sales tax.

    Hi,

Do you mean "Deutch" as German or is it a typo and did you mean "Dutch" as being The Netherlands?
