Hi experts,

I'm trying to generate a word template for each record in a sub-grid.

Now i've done this before where i would use a table and the repeating functionality would get the job done but the client has a specific request on how the template needs to look.

Thus i cannot create a table and need to be able to generate the template for each record in the sub-grid and display all of the templates.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi Filip,

Sorry, you would be able to create a single template and loop through the rows in the sub-entity, that is not a problem but it would be single template.

SSRS reports will allow you to do what you want to do and when you publish this in Dynamics 365 you would be able to run the SSRS report for the multiple records selected from a list view so I assume with some custom javascript you would be able to do in a sub-grid.

After doing some research, im starting to think that maybe SSRS report is the way to go with this type of requirements, any suggestions?
