How to change ribbon buttons on quote form?

Hello,

We recently switched over to UI and our sales guys are complaining to me that the 'Create order' button is missing from the quote form when the quote is activated.

Instead they have a 'Create invoice' button which creates both an order and an invoice at the same time and when clicked it takes them to the invoice form.

From reading some articles I understand that this is not an bug but how Microsoft have designed it so my question is whether it is possible in anyway to have it the old way? Am I able to change this in settings or use a third-party program to revert it so the 'Create order' button comes back and takes the user to the new order rather than invoice?

Many thanks,

Kamil.

    Hi Kamil,

It is not possible to revert this kind of change as there are automatic updates against those out of the box features. Maybe you can create a new Button in the ribbon of Entity Quote Form, to open the Form Order,

Using RibbonWorkbech to customize the Ribbon, In the custom button command you can run Jscript to open the Order Form

    Hi Roberto,

Unfortunately this is a bit too much for my brain but many thanks for your help.

If it is too hard for you to use RibbonWorkbench for customizations then you can use UDS Interface Switcher. Free download here: https://uds.systems/add-ons/interface-switcher

That will allow you to use this button by going to the same record in the old interface.

But this is temporaty solution, at some time in future the old interface will be not available so you will need to add a button to the new interface as Kamilcmm has described.

    Hi Roberto,

I'm trying to play around with Ribbon workbench however, I'm not sure how to edit the ribbon/command bar of the UI version. When I open the Quote entity on Ribbon workbench is shows me the old version ribbon as the 'Create Invoice' button is missing however, when I go onto the actual quote form it's there.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks.

    Hi Guys,

Just to let you know I have manged to find a much simpler solution.

Navigated into Sales Settings > Quote Settings > Enabled 'Enable automatic quote to order generation.' and the 'Create Order' button now appears like on the old version.
