Updates to a Wave

Posted on by 9
Hi,

We are using waves in production control with BoM's to build up components, work will automatically get created and then once picked go into an /IN/ location. From there it will be consumed when the production order is ran and the parent part from the BoM will then be available in an /OUT/ location - hopefully all of that makes sense as it's pretty simple.

The locations in the warehouse are setup with various location profiles and we have now found an example that when stock is in that particular location, no work will get created when trying to raise a production order. We have to moved to another location in the warehouse, then run the production or for work to be created.

How can I update the wave to include this other location/profile so in the future work will be generated?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I appear to have sorted this and I think this is what did it, so thought I'd update here incase it would be helpful to others.

In warehouse management > setup > location directives, I then found the template that was relevant (in Raw materials in my case). I then went into edit query in the action pane and had it only set as "!***" to exclude a certain location profile that was not that of the location I had the issue with.
