IOrganizationService and dataverse error after 10.0.47 update

Hello,

I have upgraded some of my CHE's from 10.0.45 to 10.0.47 in LCS. After the upgrade all works well but getting two errors which I don't understand why.

First one is when opening new session in F&O, "Failed to connect to Dataverse":

Second one is coming up in Feature Management form:

I have checked Event Viewer and cannot see anything related there. I have recreated and tested the Dual Write link and all works as expected. I have tried to turn on\off some features related to MCP or API's but it didn't help. I have rebooted the server. I have double checked MS Entra apps and updated all Power Platform\Dual Write solutions in PPAC.

Anyone experienced similar please?

Hi, do some upgrade this month without issue.

Main question, the VM was connected to Dataverse prior upgrade?

Official documentation reports it's deprecated. But cannot be your case of course

Power Platform integration for cloud-hosted development environments is a deprecated feature and is no longer supported. While the option may still appear during environment deployment, it's not recommended for use. For testing and development scenarios, we recommend using a Sandbox environment and/or a Unified Developer Environment (UDE), which are fully supported and better suited for integration with Power Platform. For more information about UDE, see Unified developer experience for finance and operations apps.

Hi Diego,

Thanks for the response.

I have not changed anything prior to the upgrade. Dual Write was configured and still works after the update. I am not getting this error in the CHE's that are still on 10.0.45. I should not have this issue in my Sandbox\Prod right?

Also, I have managed to resolve the IOrganizationService API error if anyone is interested. I have enabled the below features and the error has gone.

Hi, after your message I remembered that I had resolved this in the past by enabling the feature.

I don’t think the Dataverse error will occur in UAT — it seems to be a CHE-related issue. This is the first time I’ve encountered this during my upgrades.

Do you have any kind of trace on Windows Event Viewer?

Hi,

Nothing unusual in the Event Viewer mate. If it is only CHE than I am not that worried anymore ;-). I am going to update UAT tonight and hopefully should be ok.

Is there an update in Admin Power Platform that you haven't done for the Dataverse connection that it needs? I've ran into that when trying to get a Synapse link to my environment while wanting to use the new feature for Archiving sales orders. Just a thought.
