Workflow Manager from different domain

Dear All,

We are in process of implementing Dynamics Workflow and having problem with workflow approval using email.  The following is the case.

GP web services is installed on the server in our local domain.

Manager added on the requisition workflow from the local domain.

Workflow added with approver in the local domain.

On the above situation everything works fine.

On the same workflow the manager has been changed from local domain AD user to another AD user from another domain in our network.  In this situation everything works fine upto the point where the approver click the approve link in email and gets error as follows.

Request Error The server encountered an error processing the request

This error is exactly same as error which we get for the language English USA has to be changed in browser but that's not the case here.

As soon as I remove the AD user of different domain and add back the local domain user and using the exact link on email the approve works perfectly alright.  So this issue is related to the cross domain but I am not sure how to fix the issue can anyone shed light on this.

    Hi Babu,

Not sure if this works.. somehow I recall having read somewhere that you can't mix-up users from different domains.. Either all on a local domain, or on AAD (Azure AD) with O365.. Cross-domain trusts are not supported I believe..

Would have to find references about this though.. but I recall another thread recently about a similar case..

    Edit: https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/32/t/168099

PS: according to MG's blog post, AAD wasn't supported at the time in 2013, you had to setup a VM with regular AD services : http://dynamicsgpblogster.blogspot.ca/2013/01/microsoft-dynamics-gp-2013-on-windows_17.html
