Adding a Contact (different company) to a Vendor

Here in the United States, it is common to buy company insurance through a broker. The broker is a different company than the insurance company.  I created a vendor for the insurance company called Allianz because when money was pulled from our bank account the insurance company name shows up on the transaction. I am trying to set up the contacts in the vendor card. However when setting up the contacts through the vendor card, the system does not allow you to use a separate company name. I can't do this because the broker is a different company. The broker is Trade Risk Group. So far I have set up the broker as a contact in my list of contacts. I thought i could set up the business relationship to link to the vendor table. When i do this i can't not find this contact. Any advice would help.
