How to copy custom value field to Name field (primary name column) using plugin

Good morning All,
I want to ask how to copy custom value field to Name field (primary name column) using Plugin (pre-create or post-create)? 
BTW, I know it is possible to using workflow.  but I want to use Plugin to set the Name field value to other field value.
