Dynamics 365 Financials and Dynamics CRM integration

I am trying to sync Dynamics 365 Financials and Dynamics CRM together. I am a global administration for the Company. Every time I use the setup wizard, I receive the following error:

You do not have permission to insert 'Web Service' records because the tenant is mounted with the application database as read-only.

I have permissions set, any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    How did you solve it?

I'm getting "The specified crm administrator does not have sufficient privileges to import a crm solution" error.

My CRM user both an administrator and a customizer.

    Also, test connection is succesfull.

    I try Microsoft Dynamics NAV W1 2017 Cumulative Update 4 ( Build 15601) and Dynamics CRM 2016 1612 (8.2.1.271) Online.

    Craig,

My synchronization between Financials and CRM now work! It looks like there was a issue on the "Dynamics" side! I am so excited now!

    Hi Latham,

I have the exact same issue. I also tried creating an additional user.....this also didn't work. I even tried to add each component in a sequence to see if i could somehow wiggle it in.

I then decided to try something ridiculous.... i tried to link it to a CRM 2016 demo org....and....it worked. Once i had recovered from the shock that it had worked, I decided to check the Versions. The CRM component in Dynamics 365 is version 8.2.0.561 and the Demo org I connected to is version is 8.1.0.526.

I am just going out on a limb but i believe we will just have to wait for Microsoft to update the DLL's.

I hope you have a great day.

There are 2 things that are important in terms of user setup for integration with Dynamics CRM.

You need to have 2 users set in Dynamics CRM: synch user and admin user when you run through the CRM connection wizard.

    On Dynamics CRM side:

    - admin user needs to have system administrator and solution customizer roles assigned to it

    - synch user needs to have system administrator role assigned to it - wizard will configure the roles after it finishes for this user (but when connecting the first time this is the role setup needed on Dynamics CRM)

Both users need to belong to same domain. If you are running trials of Dynamics 365 for Financials and Dynamics CRM Online trial admin and synch users should have @xxx.onmicrosoft.com user names

Also, please check help topic on the subject here.

    Regards

    Ivan

    Jennifer,

    Thank you for your message.

I unchecked the box and now I get the following error:

The specified CRM administrator does not have sufficient privileges to import a CRM solution.

I am also the administrator of the CRM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Latham,

If the step I suggested doesn't help, it looks like Development is aware of this issue and is working on a fix...see this previous post:

    Hello Latham,

In the Dynamics CRM Connection Setup you have 3 checkboxes before choosing Finish to enable the Dynamics CRM Connection, they are:

    -Import Dynamics CRM Solution

    -Publish Item Availability Webservice

    -Enable Dynamics CRM Connection

Before choosing finish, unmark "Publish Item Availability Webservice" and then click Finish.

Let me know how this goes.
