Reservation Cross Docking Error

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 50

Hi all,

I am getting the following when releasing my SO to warehouse:

Load is not valid.

Cannot cross dock order line for item XXXX because not all above location dimensions are known.

Not sure what else is needed?

Basic reservation hierarchy is known and correct, must the PO registration first happen or what next step?

I am following this process:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/warehousing/planned-cross-docking

PLEASE HELP!

BIG THANKS!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Elizabeth,

Have you verified whether all dimensions above the location are being specified? I believe that this warning message appears if the loadlines have unknown dimensions above the location in the hierarchy. Hence, depending on your reservation hierarchy setup validate whether all dimensions have been specified and proceed from there.

In addition, does your scenario contain a batch above item? Did you specify a batch ID via the below field?

    Hi Alice,

This is the setup I have for the reservation hierarchy I am using:

The site, WH and Inv Status is defined on both the SO & the PO:

My scenario does not have a batch-product included.

    Any other suggestions?

It would appear that error has changed now to this one:

    pastedimage1610958944087v1.png

But on my cross dock template I do have a supply source:

And I have a PO for the same product.

Is the warehouse of your cross dock template the same as the warehouse of the SO that you try to release?

    Hi Alice,

Yes it is the same WH on the template, SO & PO.

    Hi,

Issue could be with the validate time window on the cross dock templates setup. make sure the inbound goods are in valid time-frame for the SO shipment days. For testing purpose make it as no and try it. Thanks.

Hi, I switched it off and now I can proceed. Thanks for the help, I will look into that flag and if I will need it in the future to use it correctly.
