Workflow next step id

I have created a custom workflow for a custom page in Business Central to run an approval process.

I also created custom events and responses and configured them within the workflow.

However, when I execute it, the workflow instance gets deleted after the first go.

Upon further investigation, I found that in the Workflow Step table, the “Next Workflow Step ID” field remains 0. Because of this, the system assumes there are no further steps, considers the workflow complete, and deletes the workflow instance.

My question is: how can I properly assign or configure the “Next Workflow Step ID” field so that the workflow continues to the next step instead of ending after the first one?
