Hi,

We got a situation this month, the Customer statement was sent 6 times on the same day to all customers

Our product version is 10.0.29

We looked to our batch job, the recurrence is set to once a month.

Hi,

Can you check the batch job history to find if there is a log for each sending there?

Does it apply just to one specific day? If yes, it can be user fail. Have you check D365FO user if one has send these statements by fail?

Yes we received a log, here a example of each.

Hi Kamel,

We had exact same problem during starting of this month and found the issue. It looks like MS has introduced a new parameter for failed / error batch jobs with maximum retries and it is defaulted to 5, user can't change it

Since, some of the customers not been configured with email ids for sending customer statement, batch was ended with error and by this default setup, the same batch job was retried 5 times and as a total of 6 mails been sent for the same customer (1 original + 5 retries)

You can modify this by, manually changing the maximum tries to 0 once you create the batch job or enable "Ignore task failure" option in the batch job; you need to put the job on Withhold status before making this changes.

Thank you for the finding. Good to know.

Just to be sure I'm getting your point.
1- The Maximum retires has to be set to 0
2- Ignore task failure has to be set to YES (in your print screen is set to NO)
