Exchange rate issue

Posted on by 340

Hi All ,

 AX 2009

Client use the electronic payment transfer functionality for vendor payments.

Listed below is exchange rate setup and company maintains exchange rate month wise.

100 EUR      – 972.48 NOK

100 Poland – 226.48 NOK

Client processed a payment proposal for EUR and Pol vendor and system crated a file and sent to bank and while sending exchange rates were in Payment journal and Payment transfer forms as cited below.

 100 EUR - 972.48 NOK

100 Poland – 226.48 NOK

Post couple of days , a return file was received from bank and imported in the Payment transfer form using return file and application created payment lines in the payment transfer form ,but the issue is that when we import file , application takes incorrect exchange rates for Poland vendor only.

( Exchange rate is maintained day wise in bank, hence it is different with AX exchange rate setup )

 Example :

100 EUR - 979.48 NOK

100 Poland – 2.2948 NOK  ( Ideally it should take 229.48 here also ,but takes 2.2948 for 100 Poland currency )

The issue is with Poland currency ,but for other currency there are no issues .

 Any light on this ?

    RE: Exchange rate issue

    Hello sri17,

Poland has very complex and detailed rules when it comes to exchange rates.

There are many factors that influence what rate to take under which circumstances.

I am not a Polish AX expert and would recommend that you consult one before making any changes because Poland has some severe fines if things are not correctly posted.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

There is no problem in defining the exchange rates.

Oops! somebody has used a wrong factor "100". Most likely in the import code.
