Marketing lists and sub lists

I created a dynamic marketing list as a master marketing list for email marketing purposes for one of the business units in my CRM. Is it possible to create sub lists from this marketing list or do i always need to create a new marketing list?

Also in my contact form i have an option for do not allow bulk emails however this does not appear as an option on the drop downs when i create my query, the only option i have is do not allow emails.

Any idea why this is or how i can get the bulk option to show in the drop down lists?

    Hi Stephen,

    In theory you can have a dynamic marketing list containing members of xyz static marketing list AND that meet some other criteria.  It is a little cumbersome and I probably would not recommend it.  

    Regarding your bulk email question - what crm version are you using?  In my crm, in contacts, i do see 'do not allow bulk emails' and 'do not allow emails' as filter options.  Make sure this field has the searchable property set to true in your crm.

    Thanks Alex,

    I guess i'll think again about hat to do with my marketing lists.

    That fixed the issue with Bulk email not showing, it was set to not searchable :)
