Hello,

Can any one please help me to understand when data is populating in PA11800 and PA11801 tables ? It shows all type of Project Accounting Transactions.

Your earliest reply will be highly appreciable.

Thanks

Sandip

When you run PA Combined History Process, the tables

PA11801 - PA Combined History Detail File and PA11800 - PA Combined History Header file)

    gets updated.

    Combined History Utility populates "Selected " cost transactions to be combined in both tables identified by the PA Transaction Usage field, which fields could be;

    • Time sheet
    • Equipment Log
    • Miscellaneous Log
    • Purchasing Invoice
    • Employee Expense
    • Inventory
The main purpose of this utility is to be able to print Combined History Report for the selected cost transactions, or use the Combined History Inquiry as well.
    Hope this helps,

    Hi Sandip,

I actually found out about those tables today and also had an issue to report.. Somehow along the road (before GP 2010) the upgrade process must have missed to update the PA11801 table structure, because I tried in GP 2015 (and also 2010) to run the  Create Combined History routine and it failed with an error message stating an invalid operation on table 'PA_Combined_History_WORK_LINE' failed accessing SQL Data.

More details revealed that the fields IVIVOFAC_5 & IVIVOFAC_6 where missing... so I had to use the Maintenance > SQL function to drop and re-recreate that table.

After successfully running the process for the first time I discovered that this routine does actually all the hard job that you would normally do by aggregating the various PA transaction tables to get an overview of all the costs charged towards a project or for a given period of time.

This is very handy and will save you lots of time. Also when you run the create process, you can either chose to delete the previous table content, or just append to the existing data. Be careful, because the last processing dates are only showing your last range... not the actual content of the table. So you better check the header table to see what's in there to decide what to do.

    Hi Srini,

I did actually not e-mail anyone,  I just answered below Sandip's original posting.. As you replied in the past, you received an automatic notification like all others that replied in this post :-)
