I do not know how to do this because using barcode or RFID is WAY more efficient, but this is the gist of what you need to know:
The person is identified either by the employee number or a badge number. You set what you want to use in the Time and attendance general parameters.
Now the finger print scanner must return some type of Identification number when a certain print is read and send this data as a keyboard command. It has to send this data for every terminal when identifying the same person. This ID number can be either the employee number or a specific badge number you set up.
Have you find any thing helpful related to this issue. we have the same issue , We would like the Time and attendance module in D365 to read the data from our already installed clocking machines ? hope I know the exact procedure.
