how to refresh dashboard view with js?

Hello, I've implemented a ribbon button that updates an entity field, based on the entity selected in a dashboard view. After I update the entity field through js, I need to refresh the dashboard view to redisplay the view with the updated field value.

What's the most elegant way to do this? I could execute js to reload the whole page, but would be the worst case scenario. Can you recommend a way to refresh only a specific view on a dashboard to display updated data?

You can refresh dashboard by using below JS,

Mscrm.DashboardRibbonActions.refreshDashboardPage();

@Vijay - I just want to refresh a *single view* on the dashboard *not* the whole dashboard

To the best of my knowledge, I don’t think there is any supported way of refreshing only dashboard view. If there is, surely it will gain my knowledge.

May be MS Support team can help.

Hi Vijay, do you know how this gonna work on the UCI? Looks like this code is not supported on the new Unified Client Interface...

For me below script worked in UCI to refresh the Dashboard :

parent.location.reload(true);
