Hi,
We're trying to invite an external accountant to our Business Central (UK) but whenever we try to send an invite we get an error saying that License assignment has failed.
Exact error : Inviting external accountant failed while doing the licence assignment. License assignment failed because service plans 170991d7-b98e-41c5-83d4-db2052e1795f , 3f2afeed-6fb5-4bf9-998f-f2912133aead are mutually exclusive.
After researching the above, we found that the first service plan ID being shown is the External Accountant plan (170991d7-b98e-41c5-83d4-db2052e1795f) [ https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/dynamics365/it/2019/07/18/business-central-entitlements/ ]
What we did;
- Added external accountant in our Azure AD as guest
- We assigned the Dynamics 365 Business Central External Accountant license to the user.
- External Accountant accepted our Azure AD invite
- We tried to invite the external accountant from within Business Central (Users > Invite External accountant > inserted his email address > Send invitation)
- We get the error message above.
We have SMTP setup correctly (tested successfully) and we are logging in BC to send the invite with an account that has global admin permissions in Azure and SUPER permissions in BC.
Any ideas what could be the issue, please?
Thanks in advance!
