Is it possible to combine multiple AP purchases in Fixed Asset Clearing to a single Asset reference?

You actually can combine as many purchases as you want from the list of unapplied purchases.  After you save your asset with first purchase that you select, simply select the additional purchase(s) from the list at the top of the Asset General Information window.

I agree with Mahmoud  regarding combination. I'm guessing that you aren't incurring these costs on a single PO, however.  What you might do is to use the suffix functionality available in fixed assets so that you can bind the different A/P (or PO) purchases together. For example, you purchase a piece of equipment and assign it asset ID 789 the suffix will be 1. Let's say an invoice for installation of that asset comes later. You could assign the installation cost an ID of 789 with a suffix of 2. While the assets won't technically be combined into a single asset, once they are joined like this they cannot be separated.

    Just a thought,

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

As far as I know, you can not.

What I usually consider to combine multiple line items is to add a Fixed Asset through POP and use the combine option on item detail window. Check the process on Adding Fixed Asset from Purchase Order Processing (Multiple Assets per Shipment)
