Custom resource type bookable resource

Hi,

Is it possible to add custom resource types on Bookable Resource form?

We'd like to use one of our custom entities as a list of unlicensed users to be able to choose from Resource Type. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks for any help!

I don't think you can add other resource types, every existing type has some hard-coded capabilities already. I do however not fully understand what you are trying to achieve, maybe you can elaborate a bit more.

Thanks for the quick response. We have an existing custom entity with list of field agents(non-licensed). These agents do not need to have access to Field Service app. It is just to give dispatcher the ability to book these non-licensed agents as well along with licensed users. We do not want to use Contact or Account as Resource Type as they are tied to something else. So, was wondering if we have the ability to squeeze our custom entity as one of the types, so we can create these non-licensed agents as Bookable Resources as well. Thanks.

No, this is not possible at the time.  You need to use what's available.

    Hi meenoo.

My first option would be having it related to a contact or account which seems to have a conflict with your existing implementation.

What you need is a Bookable Resource to be able to schedule it. How about creating Bookable Resouces as Resource Type Generic and create a relationship to your entity/table?
