Hi all,
Can anyone help me out what are the certifications for MS Dynamics 365 for Operations or when MS will start with it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Vilmos,
Thanks for your quick response.
I have been through this link but it contains AX and Sql certifications. I want certification of Dynamics 365 for Operations.
Can you help me with it?
Thanks.
You may find it beneficial to review the Certification roadmap (download link on the page, in the middle). You'll notice what you're after are exams that make up electives going towards the MCSE but can of course be taken separately.
The exams you're speaking of go towards the MCSA.

The exam list on the page Vilmos posted will help. The roadmap also helps if you look through it.
You can also find something similar here: www.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-certification.aspx
The exams I have linked are exactly for the version which you want certifications for, in the technical area. Some additional elective exams for Financial and T&L areas have been linked by fellow community members.
Thanks for your response.
Microsoft has changed the name of AX to D3fO after platform update 3. I hope the links you all provided for certification refers to D3fO and not the old version AX as the certification name is Microsoft Development AX Development Introduction'.
You could always call the exam center and ask. Please make helpful answers as verified.
The new certifications don't make a lot of sense to the individual Ax consultant.
Now you have to certify effectively as a SQL DBA ( not sure why if the intention is to move everyone to azure) and as a developer as a foundation (MCSA). and then to move onto either Finance or T@L. for MCSE
As an employer that type of certification would not impress me. Does anyone want a finance consultant to be able to do SQL clustering, or a SQL DBA to design a COA to IFRS standards?
Many of the Ax 2012 certifications are not available at D365FO.
However, the better news is that the e-learning has copious training materials and in general the content is much improved as is the new online help. So forget about certification and just get trained.
It's seems that you believe that the MCSA certification is for financial consultants, but it's a misunderstanding. Let me quote the description:
This certification demonstrates your expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 technologies to implement the basic technical and development tasks required to customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations. This audience typically includes technical consultants, programmers, and IT personnel.
The certification for financial consultants is Microsoft Dynamics AX Financials.
Regarding those SQL certifications, the fact that you can (but don't have to) deploy production instances of AX to Azure doesn't mean that the data stop being stored in a relational database. It's still a crucial components and you need people who know how to design indexes, analyze performance issues, set up test environments, plan and maintain on-premises instances and so on.
Agreed - and of course electives can be taken independently
However to get to MCSE means going via MSCA, and that is where the certifications don't really make sense to me, if those are now the certifications qualifications that Microsoft expects of its partners.
