  • I  then want we will want to easily pull this information
  • We need to look at the different status’s of Opportunities in each of the stages and figure out if they are getting updated correctly

    Hi,

There is no suppoerted way to add a blank value. I had the same requiremwnt once and i ended up adding a new option value with text as "--Select--" and set it is default. Not a great user experience but worked for my client.

You can try and see if that suits your needs.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    1. ) the best you can do is , add an option set value called empty, and set it to default.

2.) yes, refer to above link, but this is not easy as you have to customize the chart.

    Hi Sandeep,

    1. When we close an Opportunity as Lost we need to log a reason on why Lost and it needs to be mandatory.

    Create two fields as follows:

    • Close Status: Option-set field (Won, Lost)
    • Lost Reason Description: Multiple lines of text

When the Close Status equals Lost, show and make Lost Reason Description as mandatory and if Close Status equals Won, hide and make Lost Reason Description as optional using a Business Rule.

Create a real-time workflow on change of the Close Status field where it checks if the Close Status is Lost and then Perform Action step (Close Opportunity Action) with a default Status reason.

    2.  Consistent Colors of sales stages in the dashboard

     See: http://dynamicscrmcoe.com/apply-custom-colors-dynamics-crm-chart/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi sandeepc,

There are no supported methods for implementing your first question.

For your second question, you can change the colour of charts using the method in this article.
