We are on GP 10 and will be upgrading mid 2013. We are trying to decide whether to upgrade to GP 2010 or just go to GP 2013. I would love to hear reasons why we should or not go directly to GP 2013..

Hi Pamela,
I would not go directly from GP10 to GP12 (aka GP2013)... too big step. Tough the version number difference doesn't seem to be huge, there were a lot of functionnality added to GP11 (aka 2010), and I would migrate/upgrade to this version first in order to see how comfortable your users are with that version. You'll have to consider also the infrastructure requirements (SQL & Win server version) when migrating to GP12... be sure to check your licensing.
How many users to you have ? Are you doing manufacturing or using any special module in GP ? consider that not all 3rd party ISV's may be ready for GP12... whereas GP11 is well tested and debugged so far. Of course, if you absolutely need one or many of the new feature from GP12.. then test it out thorougly before making the jump..
Good luck in your project
GP 2013 promises to be one of the largest feature rich upgrades to GP in years. The introduction of a GP web client is one of the biggest. As with all upgrades I recommend waiting for about 3 months after a release just to let the dust settle.
You can look into some of the features here:
