    Hi Haider,

Client configurations may be still exist in Registry even after you have uninstalled it.

You can remove it from registry manually and then re-installing or creating manually new configuration for production resolve your issue.

    Hi Haider,

Right click on "AX client shortcut" and go to properties > Shortcut

Check and verify the file location in "Target". It should be pointing to correct file.

    Regards,

    Hassan

    Hi Haider,

    Two possibilities:

    1. Uninstall the client completely and reinstall it with correct settings new.

    2. the configuration is stored in the registry in the User trees. For current user this is:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Dynamics\5.0\Configuration\Original (installed configuration)\Setup Properties

You can change server and AOS name here (also check the other entries under configuration)

It is recommended to make this change to ALL User Trees existing, esp. the default user tree, otherwise every new user will get the old wrong setting.

    Thanks and Regards

AX uses your currently selected local client configuration when running ax32.exe without additional parameters. However, it is possible to include specific saved AX configurations for the shortcut of the executable in a form of an AXC file. If you cannot figure out why it is running like that, create a new configuration under the Manage button, then from the same menu you can export the AXC. Create a shortcut of your Ax32.exe, and paste the path and the filename of the exported AXC file after it. From now on, that configuration will override whatever is selected in your registry.
