Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Archived)

Error when exporting only 1500 records to excel from Dynamics 365 customer engagement. Is there a limit or something?

When I try to export products out of dynamics it doesn't work. Throws an error.

Failed to Generate Excel

An error occurred when Dynamics 365 tried to generate the Excel file. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.


I thought the limit is 10k rows, i can use the same view to export 50 records or 100 or 200 just not the whole 1500. Any ideas? (Other than the view having the same fields because it doesn't).

    Hi Saif,

    Make sure that you don't have two fields with the same display name in the entity.

    community.dynamics.com/.../crm-2016-failed-to-generate-excel

    Hi,

    How big are your export excel files?

    If you end up with an excel file bigger than 10MB you won't be able to export it : community.dynamics.com/.../224607
