Replacement of business portal in GP 2015

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade GP from GP2013 to GP2015. Since business portal was replaced in GP2015, I would like to know what is the alternate option for this. We are using time card entry to request leave and pay option to view employee payslip. I have read few documents that all these functionalities have been added in GP core system. some other documents mentioned about web client.

Kindly inform me what is the best option, do we have to purchase any Self-Serve User CAL license for this, or Microsoft will provide these by default since business portal was replaced.
