Hi All,
Below here is my Inventory value report. I have 8.5% discrepancy. What do you see as typical causes for inventory discrepancy? Thanks

Hello Kim,
A very common reason for seeing those discrepancies is when people manually post on the 'automatic' ledger accounts that are used in the inventory posting matrix.
Another reason might be that ledger accounts that have been setup in the inventory posting matrix have been changed/modified.

Why would an automatic or a manual cause an inventory discrepancy?
My inventory account is unchecked on this box "Do not allow manual entry". We do inventory movement journal and damage journal. So if I check this box, I don't think I can post these journals.
I would recommend that you make a manual GL posting on one of those automatic ledger accounts that are setup in the inventory posting matrix in a Demo or Test system. For example post the ledger account that is used for inventory transactions against a bank or cash account.
Don't do this in your live environment!
Before and after this posting is made, run the inventory valuation report to see the effect of this manual posting.
