GP2013 - SRS Deployment Issue

Hi All -

We upgraded a client from GP10 SP4 to GP2013 SP1. The databases sit in a named instance of SQL 2008 R2 RTM. When we go to deploy the SRS reports from GP (after updating the web.config file to allow us to do this) we get an error implying that the SRS urls are incorrect. We have double-checked and they are correct.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this or how to troubleshoot it?

Cheers,

James.

    James,

As mentioned above, the first step is verifying that you have a correct URL.  If your URL is correct but GP isn't accepting it, you may need to launch GP as an administrator to deploy reports.

    Thanks

    Rob

Also as Galina suggested, try the URLs from the browser to see if you are getting into it

Can you please remove the highlighted part from the URLs below and try again:

    http://<server name>:80/reportserver_<SQL instance name>

    http://<server name>:80/reports_<SQL instance name>

What I meant by the credential is to make sure you or the user who deploying the reports has enough permission on SSRS

When you put these URLs in your browser do you get anything?

    Hi Alaa -

The error message is thrown when we click on the Deploy button and when we click the OK button to save the setup changes.

I am not sure what you mean about the Report Server credentials.

    The URLs are:

    http://<server name>:80/reportserver_<SQL instance name>

    http://<server name>:80/reports_<SQL instance name>

Do you receive the error message when you click on 'Deploy Report' button?

Do you have the right credential on Report Server side?

Could you double check on the URL below:

Report Server URL:          http://<Your Report Server Name Or IP Address>/reportserver

Report Manager URL:      http://<Your Report Server Name Or IP Address>/reports

Sorry to amend this after posting, the upgrade was to GP2010 SP3 (11.0.2197) not to GP2013. Sorry about the confusion).

    Cheers,

    James.
