Best way to get Wage history with Current and Previous Rates?

I am trying to put together a report for pay rate history and I want to be able to see what the rate was along with what it is currently.  I am using HRPSLH01 to get the date of the rate change and the new amount, but I would also like to have the old rate.

Employee            New Rate           Effective Date         Previous Pay            Hire Date

It seems like this is something that is missing from the history.  I assume this is fine if you have been using the system for awhile and can pull everything from the history table, but we are using a new system and the initial rates are not part of that history table as everything was imported from the old system.  I am trying to decide on the best way to approach this.

Thanks,

Kelli

I had a similar situation and I created a dummy SQL table.  I imported the old systems history data into this table and then wrote a SPROC (you could use a view or straight script if you wish).  I used my SPROC to pull the data from the new table and the current values in HR.

So far the report appears to be correct.  Hope this helps.

Jeff, Thanks for the suggestion.  I took your suggestion and changed it to suit our needs.  I actually increased the sequence number for all the records in HRPSLH01 and then imported the payrate over from the old system as sequence 0.  This allows for all employees to at least have a history record, similar to if we had created the employees in GP.
