Inactivate/Duplicate vendors, training

I'm new to my company with Dynamics (GP). Is there ANY training or customer service I can call?

Are we able to "inactivate" vendors? We would do this if we haven't used them in years or they are out of business.

We have a few "Duplicate" vendors we'd like to merge

Hello,

For training with GP, you should have a partner for your Dynamics GP. This would be who I would recommend reaching out to for assistance and training with Dynamics GP. This would be the company that does your upgrades, provides registration keys, etc.

For inactivating Vendors, chapter 5 in the PDF has the steps to inactivate a Vendor.

Payables Management in Dynamics GP - Dynamics GP | Microsoft Learn

Open the Vendor Maintenance window. (Purchasing >> Cards >> Vendor)

Enter or select a vendor ID.

Select the Inactive status to inactivate the vendor. Choose Save.

For combing a Vendor into another you would need to use the Vendor Modifier/Combiner window that is under the Utilities section of the Purchasing Module. (Note if on older version of GP, this was originally in the PSTL tools).
