Hello,

I am very new to this so all the help is really appreciated.

Do anyone know how I can run a comparative income statement in business central?

For example, if this month is Oct 2021. How can I run the run the comparative income statement in one report (one column shows the income and Expenses from Jan 2021 to oct 2021 and one column shows income and Expenses from Jan 2020 to Oct 2020 ?

The same for Balance Sheet (one column shows the balance from Year to date balance from Oct 2021 and one column shows the balance from Year to Date balance from Jan 2020 to Oct 2020).

Hi, I'm not sure if this meets your needs, you can try Trial Balance/Previous Year.

In addition, the data actually exists in the system, so you can do customization to extend existing reports.

Eishak,

You can create an Account Schedule for the Comparative Income Statement with the proper rows and sub-totals and report totals. You can create a Column layout that defines the months you want to reflect based on the filtered months entered. You can also create a Balance Sheet with the correct Column layout.
