If you don't have any specific question and you're looking for an introduction, consider consulting F&O documentation: Electronic reporting (ER) overview.

Martin, I will go through that . Can you please tell me does ER send files using HTTPS connectivity protocol ? or do we need to setup this somewhere?

URL is among destinations and you can use HTTPS there, as far as I know. Another topic is what application listens at the URL and what it can handle.

    Hi Rohin,

ER can send the output either to an email account or to a SharePoint document library.

From the latter one you can make use of MS Flow / PowerAutomate to send the payment file wherever you want.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

You mean on Electronic reporting destinations or where?

Thanks Ludwig, Doesn't ER able to send file directly to Bank( if BANK will provide some URL or some service)? OR do we need middleware inbetween.

    Hi Rohin,

ER makes use of output destinations and the output destinations that could fit here are an Email where you would could send your payment file to a bank officer for further processing.

Alternatively, you can make use of the output destination that puts the file on a SharePoint document library.

I have not seen and heard something about a direct integration of ER with your banking platform.

This can be achieved by making use of PowerAutomate that processes the payment file that you put on SharePoint or a modification that is made to D365FO.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello Rohin,

These are good questions but I don't have a final answer to them, just some remarks

    For a)

You have to find out how you usually transfer payment files to your bank. Some use a website where you have to upload things, others user a central mail/server where you have to send the files to, others use a special banking software program that you need to use for transmitting the file. This is something you need to find out.

    For b)

How to transmit the payment files. What the bank requests.

    For c)

There is nothing I am aware of. Otherwise, I would have shared that info here.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanks Ludwig ,

For a) -  for all this I need PowerAutomate /MS flow OR direct Email ID where i can send payment files to Bank officer Email Id. For email , where can i configure Bank Email ID in D365 FO ( ER framework).

For b) - Bank is saying Host to Host using HTTPs connectivity protocols .

for C) - sorry , i corrected my question , please see last comment.
