Financial Reports - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation

Hello Community.

I've received the following error message while attempting to run a financial report.  The reports ran fine on Friday and today we're receiving this message.  I understand that this type of error is generic but I'm hoping to get some direction/thoughts/ideas as to what could cause it.

Thanks,

Hi, As mentioned in below thread

Have you already tried resetting the data mart and restarting the financial reporting services?

Did you find a resolution to this issue?  We are getting the same error.  We are an on premise site.

Our client (on-premise) also just started getting this error.  Has anyone found a fix?  Could this have been broken by some sort of update (like Windows or SQL Update)??  I believe the client has already performed a DM reset.

I don't think a DM reset would resolve this but restarting the Financial reporting services, as Mohit suggested might.  Have you tried that?

Check your SSL certificates.  Our client had the same issue and it was the problem

    Hello everyone,

I’ve just resolved the issue. After restarting the services, the problem was still present even though the restart should have fixed it. So I redeployed the latest package in the environment where the error occurred, and the issue disappeared. I therefore recommend this solution, as it properly restarts the dedicated services

    Best regards,
