Is there a how to guide for posting a subscription center on an external website?
All available information I've found has been very vague, telling me how to create the subscription centre, but nothing at all about external hosting.
Thanks
Lee
Hi Lee,
It couldn’t be changed, that’s by design.
In such situation, you could use landing page with prefilling feature enabled instead.
By meeting following 3 requirements:
* In contact form, contact allows prefilling form.
* In form of marketing form, the form is enabled with prefilling.
* In marketing form designer, set all the fields to be prefilled.
Finally, attach link of the land page form to a button of marketing email.
When recipient opens the page via the button, they will see all fields are populated.
The key is that contact should allows us to preffill form, while Subscription Center form will always prefill fields regardless of contact’s preference.

Oh? Is there no way to change this?
We'll be setting up customer enquires this way, and the way the system works requires the lead to be updated (sometimes ahead of the contact).
Hi Lee,
It is not an issue.
It seems that you are trying to go live a subscription center form and set the form to update Contacts and Leads, however, such type of form can be only used to update contact information. So the field value will always be reverted to Contact Only.

Clofly
Thanks
Still a couple of issues.
I'm saving one marketing form as "contacts and leads" - however whenever I Go Live with it, it immediately reverts it to Contact Only.
Why does it do this? - the form is saved as Contacts and Leads
Hi Lee,
Could you share a screenshot of the error?
In settings, are ownership and email status of the domain in Confirmed status?

Clofly
Hi Lee,
It is very glad that your subscription center is working now.
If you had found any answer helped, please kindly mark as verified to close the thread, it would be really appreciated.

Clofly
Thanks, it looks like I'd not added the new subscription center to the content settings of the customer journey, that bit is working now
Hi Lee,
We don't need to add the page or the form to email manually:
when we apply the content settings with custom SC to customer journey, the SC link of marketing email will be automatically converted to URL of the external page.
Marketing page is only required when we are using Portal to host form. In other word, the core part is marketing form, it can be embedded on either marketing page(internal, page of Portal) or external page.
SC form is only working when it is opened via the link of marketing email, system will encode the link with some complex parameters to identity contact. Submission will fail and form script will give error to us if we open the SC form directly.
Regards,
Clofly
I'm assuming it's just a link, but every website i see tells me how to do it with a marketing page, not a link to the external subscription center
I do not seem to be able to change it from the default without it generating errors
Thanks, looks like it's working now.
Can i send that form as part of an email, or do I just embed a link to the relevent page in there?
