Initialize an environment without a vendor

Hi,

Our company want to setup a new environment ourself without any help from outside vendor. (We plan to hire some Business Central experts)

Is it possible that we setup the Business Central, purchase license from Microsoft and setup the environment all by ourselves?

    Hi,

    It's not possible you to purchase license from Microsoft directly.

    It's  possible to setup environment yourself.

    You can acquire the license from a Microsoft partner. Microsoft can help you finding one. Otherwise try and find a Microsoft CSP who can dispense licenses.

    Once you have the environment deployed you can work on it as you wish. In house experts, contractors or call off service days with a Microsoft partner. Most only invoice based on time completed.

    As the other people have responded to you. You need to buy your license through a Microsoft partner. The implementation you can do on your own. I would however recommend you to have some kind of collaboration with a Microsoft partner because license management and some support cases with Microsoft have to involve them.

    I am sure you will be able to find a Microsoft partner that can offer you the right level of service for your organization.

    You can also start a trail environment on your own. This can later be converted to a production tenant.
