Payroll Tax Year Disappeared

Went to re-run a W-2 and the 2016 tax year disappeared from the dropdown list.  It was there last week. Does anyone have a fix for me?

    Marty,

If the record is missing from the table, you will need to add it. If you haven't changed any other fields - you can re-run your year end close. Copy your production company to a test company, edit the FICA codes such that it reflects last year's amount and go through the UPR payroll yearend close routine again. You will get a dialog that tells you the year end wage records already exist and it asks you if you want to delete them. You do, so select Delete. The next dialog will ask you if you want to recreate them, you do, so select Create. Go change FICA codes back to the 2017 amounts. You should now have your header record. If you get an error on the delete because your old header record is missing, you'll need to update the SQL table manually.

Once you are satisfied that your chosen method worked out, back up production and execute the actions on production.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Thank you for the additional information. Unfortunately I do not know of a fix for this, but I am hoping that this additional information may allow someone to weigh in on some suggestions for fixing this.

    Chris,

Thank you for getting back to me.  what I found is the 2016 tax year is missing only from the UPR10100 (Year End Header)  Do you have any idea on how to fix this?

Do you have anything populated in your year-end tables?

I grabbed the below from the year-end reference blog, which has some great info. https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2016/11/03/w2-tips-and-tricks
