Reccomendations for Buildling / Editing Javascript and HTML pages outside of the Webresource Editor built into D365

I'm looking to build a custom Configuration Page for my solution that will require some detailed JavaScript coding.

Are there any good tools out there for building HTML and JavaScript pages that use the XRM toolkit and all the resources available for D365?

I'm familiar with Visual Studio to build C# APIs, but I'm not as familiar with JavaScript editors to use that I can hook into my instance of D365.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Visual Studio Code may suit you.

There were some snippets to help you write the code:

    community.dynamics.com/.../using-visual-studio-code-with-dynamics-crm-part-ii

    Hope it helps

    Hi Leo.

Yes I'm familiar with both sides of the development..

What i'm looking for is a better Editor then the one that comes out of the box with Dynamics Web Resources.

    Hi partner,

Front-end development is different from back-end development.

We could not use XRM plantform out of D365, so the only thing you could do is calling web api through js.

If you create a html web resource and add it into a form ,then you will be able to use "Xrm" tools with "Var Xrm=window.parent.Xrm".

Since you said that you want to create a configuration page, could you share more details about it so that we could provide more details.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,

    Leo
