Need help with fresh Management Reporter 2012 Install with GP 2010

ReportReport

I use GP2010 and recently installed fresh copy of Management reporter 2012, added all of the default reports and they don't run.

The report Queue shows  a few interesting messages:

1.The row definition contains more than one financial dimensions link.  Since the report does not use the row definition from reporting tree option, the report will use the first financial dimensions link to generate the report.

2. The report has a reference to a dimension called MainAccount but this dimension is not available to company ABCD.

If I look at the row definitions i see "Link to financial dimensions microsoft dynamics" AX and GP, each on its separate column J and K for the Balance Sheet Default report.

Is this as easy as just deleting the link to AX? its link name is FD1.

Thank you, any help would be appreciated.

The dimensions are what used to be your account segments.  Within your setup>>company>>Account Format all of your segments need to be named and across companies the segments must be named the same if you are doing consolidated reporting.  And when you brought over all of your reports if the segments were not properly named you may now have blanks in your Link to Financials Dimensions (which used to be you GL Account Link) on your Row Dimensions (which used to be your row format).

    1.  Look at the Row Dimension (previous Row Format) and look at the Link to Financials Dimensions, make sure that the Accounts are correct and you are going to find that when you open up the Link to Financial Dimensions that you now each segment of the chart is now listed.  Also, you no longer use 5??? meaning you want all the 5000 level  Main account you would use 5*.  And if you want all 4000 to 4999 it should be 4000:4999.

    2.  See first paragraph.  And go in and name your segments the same way.

    3.  Go online to the elearning and go thru the basics of Management Reporter thru CustomerSource

If you understand FRx you will very quickly understand Management Reporter

And you can go to the online classes available thru CPM (Corporate Performance Management)

    Good luck

The Default Row Definition is designed with a sample Row for Dynamics AX and Dynamics GP.  If integrated with Dynamics AX the Main Account is referenced.  If integrated with Dynamics GP the Account Category is referenced.  To generate the Report Definition integrated with Dynamics GP double click on the Link to Financial Dimension or go to Edit > Row Links and remove the secondary Link to Financial Dimensions.
