How to upload excel file to CIJ

Hi there, 
 
There are some lists from excel file we need to upload to eDM platform. However, our CID doesn't support the excel version. 
How to upload excel file to CIJ?

    I'm not sure if i fully understand you correcty. From what i understand, you are using third-party (non microsoft) software from which you can download some information, but not in an Excel file. However, you want to upload this information to Dynamisc 365 Customer Insights & Journeys as an excel file?

    Hi there!

    Customer Insights – Journeys (CIJ) doesn’t support direct Excel uploads, so here are a couple of options:


    1. First, confirm your setup: Are you using native CI Journeys or Outbound Marketing? This determines the best approach.

    2. If you’re on CI Journeys, we typically recommend:

      • Upload the list as Leads in Dataverse.

      • Add a single-line text field (e.g., “Source List Name”) to tag these records. This makes it easy to query and build segments later.
    3. Alternatively, you can upload the data through the Customer Insights Data platform, which gives more flexibility for segmentation.
