Retrieving a field from a table

Hello,

I 've created a new field named "MyField" in InventTable that i want to retrieve it with a getMyField method.

I get an error when i write:

diplay public  MyField   getMyField()

{

}

i want to know what's the problem with this syntax

    Hello,

    i think your method should look something like this (if it is written on your table):

    public display NameOfUsedEDT myField()
{
   return this.MyField;
}

    But which error do you get? And when?

    In addition, you misspelled "display" in your code example, you should use a EDT in the return of your method (not the name of your field) and your method should actually return something.

    Maybe you should also consider why you are using a display method for getting the value of a field. You would normally just grab it from a datasource.
