Trying out Marketing app for 30 days. and I tried to create a segment with just all contacts linked to a customer (not suppliers). what am I doing wrong here? here is a screenshot
It seems the problem was that our accounts and contacts are synched from D365 Business Central and the link between the account and contact is not synched well. only the acounts and contacts we created in D365 CE Sales were shown. So I created a ticked with our partner to check the dataverse synch in BC
Hi ez Jurgen,
Based on your description, your first line is correct. You want to get all contacts linked to the accounts whose relationship type is customer, right?
Below is my test:
1. Account whose relationship type is customer and add two contact linked to it.
2. create a dynamic segment with the following filter.
3. The result:
If you can only get one contact per account, please check other contacts' email address is empty or not.
Well I was a bit too soon. I do see all customers now but only one user per company, the default user linked to that company.
What I want to achieve is to compile a list of all contacts. but they need to be linked to a customer. I do not want to send email to suppliers or competitors.
So if an account is a customer and it has 10 contacts linked to it I want to see those 10 accounts emailaddresses.
Am I doing it wrong to start from the account then as the first line in the segment setup?
Hi ez Jurgen,
The most likely reason is that you select the wrong relationship.
In the second condition, you select (contact -> Account(Account)) which is not used often(Usually, we use company name) . So please check the Account is null or not in your environment:
If it is all empty in your environment, please change it to Company Name to have a try:
If the above solution not fix your issue, please check the Account's Relationship Type.
