Can you edit the Placed in Service date for an asset after the depreciation has been posted?

I have an asset with the incorrect Placed in Service Date. Depreciation has been posted for the period starting on the acquisition date. Depreciation should have been calculated for one month before the acquisition date. Can I edit the placed in service date to correct the depreciation?

    Hi,

You can change the field, but it has no effect on the depreciation. AX looks at the last depreciation date and remaining periods. You can post a depreciation adjustment and adjust the number of remaining periods for this asset. Please, do test this first in a separate environment to verify if new depreciation amount for future periods are also still calculated correctly.

Thank you, I will try the adjustment in our test environment. My concern was whether or not I could adjust the remaining periods for the asset.
