Connecting virtual entity to sql server

Hi,

We have an external SQL Server on a local server, which does not have internet connection. On the other hand, we have CRM 365 V9 on-premise installation again without internet connection. Is there any 3rd party solution or best practices on how to connect a virtual entity to this data source?

Thanks in advance

    Hi!

Yes you can use the "Intlix.Api for D365 Virtual Entity".
It will help you to prepare the API and connect your SQL server to CRM's Virtual Entity.

    Hi PB

We have the same requirement. Did you find an easy way how you can access a local server server installation from Dynamics 365 ob on premise?

    thanks

Thanks for your reply. We are seeking for ready to use solutions, or at least best practices to find similar codes. I mean a least effort solution.

    Hello there!

First of all, it should be on same network. You can create OData API(It will connect with SQL Server and fetch the data for virtual entity) and publish it to Server IIS which should be in same LAN network.

Create a virtual entity data source under settings > administration > virtual entity datasources and paste the relative path of OData API.
