What MPOS version do you use?
Can you closely look into Event Viewer under "Applications and Services logs"->Microsoft->Dynamics->Commerce-ModernPOS and look for warnings/errors explaining why the deactivation took place?

Normally once your register Activated you don't need to activate it again and again, since the back office has that record(Activation Status). By the way, is this power failure happen in POS or your HQ Server?

I suggest you first to think about any backup power solution to protect your system and D365 application from power failure issue.
Did you try to reinstall MPOS and configure correctly. When you usually activate MPOS, Do you face any user authorization/logon/Appliation error/wrong end point issues?
Did you have customization on MPOS?
