How do I add an "opportunity product" advanced find in my personal views list?

Hi,

I've created a personal view with "Opportunity Product" as the main criteria I have also added fields from Opportunities. I am looking at extended amounts & sum of quantities for products in the sales pipeline.

However, the only time I can see this advanced find is when I go to the "Saved Views" for "Opportunity Products". It is not showing up on my main list of personal views under Opportunities. Furthermore, I can only filter Opportunity Product related columns (Quantity, Units, Extended Amount, Product Type).

Is there a way to view this  "Opportunity Product" query on my main screen as part of my personal views list? And is there a way that I can filter Opportunity related columns (Name, Salesperson, etc.)?

Thanks for your help!

I'd suggest creating a system view for the Opportunity entity, when editing the filter criteria, scroll to the bottom of the list of Opportunity fields and you should come across "Related" and under that, "Opportunity Products (Opportunity)". Select that and you can then start  filtering on the Opportunity Product fields. Doing this will also address the second question on filtering using the base Opportunity fields as they will also be available.

Hi Jlattimer, thanks for the tip. However,  when it comes to choosing columns that are related to the Opportunity Products (I need the Product name, quantity, extended amount & other attributes), the Record Type under the "Add Columns" dialog box does not give me the option to select Opportunity Products . So what ends up happening is I get results with information (columns) related to the Opportunity only, not information as cited above about the Products.

I'm able to select my filtering based perhaps on one type of products but the results given me are about the Opportunity not the Opportunity Products. Does that make sense?

You might be out of luck then. I thinking there isn't a supported way to accomplish this.

Hi, I have just come across the same issue - is there a work-around?

Go to Advaced Find-> Look for Opportunity Product-> Save View Open View you already created or create a new view from already created view (SAVE AS) Opp. Product or what you want->edit col. as per your requirement- Go to details- select Opportunity from Related field options-> select columns you want to show from Opp. table-Edit Column (add col. you wanted to have.)

Save-> See Results> A view will be created with both Opportunity product and Opportunity column.

Because it is Opp. product view you can not find this view in Opp.Views , go to dashboad, create new with opp product and make as Default.

    Thanks
