Hello,
We will be upgrading from GP 9.0 to 10.0. My question is, is there some specific procedure that we need to follow in order to move our Crystal Reports from 9.0 to 10.0?
Thanks in advanced!

Thanks for the reply, Victoria. We're still not quite sure about this yet, but we will install the version XI for the Crystal Report on the client. I will let you all know the outcome.
Greatly appreciate you guys' help in this!
Since Crystal 9 is not longer supported, it's difficult to find an answer to this. My gut feeling is that it will work, but I am not able to find any proof of that, sorry.
Quick question,
Will Crystal Report work on 64 bit environment? We're currently using Crystal Enterprise Report Application Server 9.
Thanks for your help!
Thank you so much for the reply, Victoria and Charles. I will let you know how this Crystal report work in our GP dev system.
Have a great day!
Thanks for the shout out Charles!
I am guessing the question to be whether anything needs to be updated/changed on existing Crystal reports to make them work with GP 10.0 after upgrading to GP 9.0. We get this question a lot and this, to me, is one of the benefits of using Crystal Reports. 99.5% of the time the answer is no, your Crystal reports will just keep working as they did with no changes needed. This is primarily because it is very rare for Microsoft to take away tables or fields in a new version, usually they are just added. However, once in a while it does happen, so to be 100% certain, you will, of course, want to test each of your Crystal reports with GP 10.0. We have created reports for customers starting with version 6.0 of GP that are still working just fine after upgrading to GP 10.0.
As a side note, if you are using an add-on product or customization to run your Crystal reports from within GP, then you will definitely need a new version of that add-on product or customization that works with GP 10.0. And if you're not using something like this, but have a lot of Crystal reports, take a look at our GP Reports Viewer. It will make life for GP users that do a lot of reporting much easier.
Do you mean that you are upgrading the version of Crystal from 9 to 10 or want to make sure your current version is compatible with GP 10?
Either way, unless you're changing the server, your ODBC connections should continue to work just fine. There may be some tables that need to be updated but Crystal will do that automatically when you refresh the report.
If you are talking about upgrading from Crystal 9 to 10, it should simply be a matter of installing the new version and uninstalling the old version. When you open the reports in 10, I think they use a new format so you may get a message about that. I have Crystal XI installed so I can't remember the differences between 9 and 10. Victoria Yudin may have more commentary since her company has a product that enables you to run Crystal Reports from GP.
