    Hi Etienne,

Are you using AX or F&O?

There is an OOB feature showing all/valid, please check it out.

    Hi Etienne,

Are you working with AX2012 or D365FO?

Can you also let us know for what purpose you need those dimensions retrieved?

    Many thanks,

    Ludwig

    Hello Etienne_Delcour,

If you kindly elaborate, would be appreciated.

If the idea is to capture what are those dimension values linked with a main account, then you can simply get this information from account structure form itself. I am not sure whether AX2012 will give that much feasibility to generate the account structure in excel or not.

Question is; why this is required? Do the user themselves are not fully 'aware' about their account structure and how it's validating in ERP?

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam

    I’m working in AX2012 R3.

In the Segmented Entry control, I want to fill in a segment based on what was introduced in an other segment. I have no problem to do that but according to the MainAccount introduced I need to know all the dimensions required by that MainAccount.

So I want to have the code to get all dimensions based on the MainAccount.

I intend to modify the method « segmentValueChanged Â» from the Class « LedgerDimensionAccountController Â» to do the job.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Etienne,

Do you try building something that is called 'derived dimensions' in D365FO?

Yes Ludwig it's exactly what I'm looking for but I presume that fonctionnality is only available in D365.

    I'm working in AX2012 R3.

Anyway, I'm still interrested in having the code to retrieve all dimensions from a main account.

    Thanks in advance.
