VAT Posting Group Errors

Hi guys,

I am having an issue regarding the VAT Posting group for items. I have filled the VAT Bus. Posting group, VAT Prod. Posting group, Gen. Bus. Posting group and Gen. Prod Posting Group. However, there are errors generated when I try to input them in a sales or purchase document (Order, Quote, Invoice, etc). The error says the VAT Posting Setup doesn't exist for the VAT Bus. Posting group and VAT Prod Posting group.

How do I go about it?

    VAT Posting Group Errors
    Hello,

Yes, as Mr. Yun Zhu mentioned, you are creating all the Posting Groups, but the G/L Accounts are not mapped with the combination of VAT Business Posting Group and VAT Product Posting Group in the "VAT Posting Setup"

Therefore, you need to complete the VAT Posting Setup.

    This will resolve the error.

    VAT Posting Group Errors
    Hi,

If this is Sales, you need to ensure the "Customer" has a VAT Business Posting Group assigned.  If this is Purchasing, you need to ensure the "Vendor" has a VAT Business Posting Group assigned.

Next, are you using "G/L Account" or "Item" in the lines of the document. (i.e. the Quote, Order or Invoice). If you are using a G/L Account you need to ensure the "Vat Product Posting Group" is assigned to the G/L Account. If you are using "Items" you need to ensure the Item has the "Vat Product Posting Group" assigned.

Once this has been done go to "VAT Posting Setup" and configure the VAT rates and GL codes for each of your VAT Business and VAT Product Posting Groups.

The demo company will help you to see how this all works.

This video also goes VAT Posting Groups (I did to compare Dynamics GP to Business Central but hopefully will give pointers as to how this works)

    Hope this helps

    Thanks
    Gavin

    VAT Posting Setup

It works on the basis of Combination, also specified an example:
         VAT Product Posting Group (ABC)
         VAT Business Posting Group (XYZ)

If both options Combination Exist in the Posting Setup then the Error will come
Even though Both of them is Created by not in the Setup then System gives this Error.
